Cleveland, Ohio’s Brain Cave perfectly blend the crushing intensity of the gnarlier side of the riffy, ‘90s, post-hardcore sound with an unrelenting and unapologetic, punk undercurrent. Their latest four-track EP, Log World, is out July 30 through Head2Wall Records and Tiny God, Inc.

New Noise are proud to premiere the video for “Forced Network” below:

On the track’s release, guitarist Michael Bellis states:

“The EP is generally about distractions and what occupies our time/lives. Not really COVID-related, but there was plenty of time to focus on new things and what’s really important during lockdowns.

Connecting to nature is important to me and is a strong theme for me. But with a tongue-in-cheek understanding that there is a hefty dose of hypocrisy when it comes to what I (and others) claim is important.”

Log World is hyper-fuzzed, enormous, and punishing, but with an intensity that barely gives you the opportunity to take it all in on your first pass. Oftentimes leaning into the realm of the sludgy, sometimes even catchy, but never drifting anywhere near accessible.
