We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Callow Lore’s new music video for their song “Albuquerque” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s album Forget Me Knot, available now through iTunes.
Chapter 5. In the story titled “Forget Me Knot,” Albuquerque expresses the event of two damaged souls intertwining, as one views the intimacy as love and the other as lust.
“Albuquerque” Lyrics:
Two bodies blend into a whole, the type of situation that should have gotten old. So I get right to it, throw those hips up on the counter, push emotion aside, and note the burning in your eyes. No! Not a love story, something much cheaper than in your dreams, You look as if you understand that I’m just a paramour. This is so wrong, but it feels so right, so I keep quiet, and you don’t admit it.
Keep in mind that this isn’t real, we’re only here for the night, so let’s enjoy it while it lasts, I’ll be the replacement for what your loves lacks.
Finally understanding I’m just a pawn in your game, if I
would have known sooner I’d leave without shame.
But then your dress came off.
Bite my lip, claw at my back, scream how you love it,
temptation is what will keep on holding me down.
Bite my lip, claw at my back, scream how you love it,
temptation is what will keep on holding you down.
Even still I’ll hold my head up high.
Even still, Even still!
As you rest your exhausted head on my chest, it’s not until I slip away with the sunrise, that I realize what I’ve done, and how it will push me into my descent.
And I fall down.
