New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the music video premiere of the track “Comfort” by Comfort. This track is full of ambience and soothing textures, giving off a lo-fi vibe with powerfully hazy vocals. This is the debut release from the artist and now is accompanied with a video of a night walk that grows in more colors and sways. The character in the video goes from a dressed up outfit and soon becomes enveloped in clothes that suit the style of the song and video. It’s a way to relax and be carefree, and Comfort show that elegantly here.
“This song is a way to let go of pain, to release something into the wild and cast all negative energy aside, whilst also hopefully affecting people in a profound and exciting way. The song was written as a plea, but now it stands for something more and has transcended the energy of when it was written.” – Comfort
Comfort are Brendan Lyle, Jake Brown & James Redfern. We bring with ourselves all things pleasure and pain and equally want to make people jive and also pick up the phone to an old flame. Sonically, we are influenced by many artists and strive to make diverse and exciting music, whilst also maintaining a unique identity. Our lyrics are direct and heartfelt, and the music is equally adventurous and simple. We want to bring a feeling of ease and understanding to our audience, but also hopefully guide them down a path they haven’t been down in a while. We would love to bring back the stage craft and energy of a show such as Stop Making Sense, whilst also making warm, deep and sonically diverse music. We have been friends since childhood and hopefully this shines through our recordings and stage show. What started out as a way for Brendan to grieve a lost love by writing demos in his bedroom, has now grown into something else.
