Down Again’s debut album, The Devil Is A Gentleman, out soon, features the catchy, personal “Actions and their Consequences.” Hear it with us first.

“The video shoot was an awesome experience,” says vocalist Lenny Costa. “We wanted to shoot it at Fang Studio where we recorded the album to keep the energy we had while writing and tracking it. We used Andy Chen with Locust Garden Media, and he absolutely killed it. It’s funny because this was all the guys first video shoot, and we didn’t really know what to expect.

“I don’t think any of us were ready to headbang for eight hours, so there were a lot of sore necks the next day, AKA the ‘bangover.’ Our vision for this performance video was to be very representative of what we’re like live, no back story, nothing cute, just us giving the song everything we had. We wanted the video to feel intense and really like how the video matches the feeling of the song.”

California emo/post-hardcore outfit Down Again have been carefully planning their introduction to the world and released their single “Actions and their Consequences” as just a preview of what is included on their newly completed LP. This long-time trio of friends have spent the last eight years outdoors skating, surfing, and hiking, all while planning out their powerful message and ideas to be channeled through this musical outlet. The music on “Actions..” and their upcoming album touches on the struggles of questioning faith, loss, infidelity, and mental health.

Down Again draw heavy influence from early 2000’s favorites such as Brand New, The Plot In You, Manchester Orchestra, and Underoath. Members prior bands have shared the stage with groups like Kingdom of Giants, Jamie’s Elsewhere, and Secondhand Serenade. The band are rounded out by Lenny Costa (vocals/guitar), Lucas Garcia (vocals/guitar/drums/keys), and Alex Wechter (bass).
