We are pleased to be bringing you the newest video from Every Stranger Looks Like You. The video is a lyric video for the song “Self Portrait.” The song is an audibly heavy track, consisting of deep doom inspired riffs that leave the listener on edge. It’s an ominous track filled with a sludgy haze that expands into vicious screams in the chorus. The track is off the band’s upcoming LP, Bluest Shade Of Black with a release date that is to be announced. The record will consist of 13 tracks and draws influences from genres such as grunge/hardcore/noise/sludge to bring something entirely new to the table. Recorded at Much Luv Studio (Eleanora, Brutus, FÄR,) and mastered by Carl Saff (Fu Manchu, Red Fang, Touché Amoré, La Dispute), the band has not cut any corners on this one.
Every Stranger Looks Like You had this to say about the song, “After taking almost an entire year off from playing shows to write our debut album we can finally throw one of the songs into the world. “‘Self Portrait’, 2016″ was one of the first songs we had written and it just felt right. With it a very personal song, as the title suggests, and given the fact that it means a lot to the three of us it seemed logical to have this one be the first taste of the album. It’s about being at your lowest of lows, and accepting the fact that things are the way they are. It’s a celebration that last year will forever remain last year.”
Pre-orders for Bluest Shade of Black will be available later in the year.
