Texan punk rockers From Parts Unknown are back with a new single, the melodic anthem “Blood and Teeth,” which is set to feature on the band’s forthcoming debut album, out early next year.

Formed in Dallas in 2014, From Parts Unknown have self-released four EPs and toured heavily around the country, logging hundreds of shows and countless miles. The band have also toured in Canada and Australia and plan to return to support their upcoming album due out next year.
The first single from their forthcoming record comes in the form of “Blood and Teeth,” an anthemic number that shows a different side of the band, with harder edges of punk rock and plenty of catchy sing-a-longs.
On the track’s release, guitarist Ben Singer states:
“Lyrically our new song came about the last time I had my teeth cleaned. Laying in the sterile dental clinic, awaiting a cold, painful routine procedure.
I thought about how weird self-beautification and maintenance are as concepts, how bizarre this practice can be, and absurd we are as walking visual records, representing our self-worth through strong lucky genes and the freedom from fast deterioration. It also speaks of how we are not any one kind of person or identity, while we are still living, growing people. We don’t have an absolute identity until we run out of time on this planet.
Musically, this song marks a slight change of course as a band, we wanted to take a more anthemic approach this time around. The track will be on our first full-length album due out early next year.”
Behind the music lies a curious inspiration that guitarist Ben Singer reveals. It was during a routine dental visit, in the sterile environment of a dental clinic, that the lyrical concept for their new song emerged. As Singer lay there, anticipating a cold and uncomfortable procedure, the experience sparked a creative spark. While dental clinics may not typically be associated with musical inspiration, this unexpected source led to the birth of a powerful song. It’s a reminder that inspiration can strike from the most unexpected places, just like finding the best dentist in Brooklyn NY, who can bring a smile to your face and ensure your oral health remains in top shape. Don’t underestimate the transformative power of exceptional dental care in enhancing both your oral health and self-assurance.
