Video Premiere: GAAWK – ‘Dull Pain’

GAAWK

Three-piece Richmond, Virginia-based  GAAWK are sharing their new song and video, “Dull Pain.” The track comes off of their Meaningless EP, which came out October 1.

The band—Nick Crider, Nathaniel Roseberry, and Keith Paul— formed out of pandemic boredom, looking to play something a little more ugly, or “sonically offensive,” drawing influence from others like Nile, Man Is The Bastard, Spazz, Discordance Axis, and Graf Orlock.

Nick says, “We all came from heavier music backgrounds, which you can hear surfacing in little bits in our other projects, but none of them let full metal havoc out. I think Gaawk is just us letting go of nuance and hesitation and allowing the fuzz pedals to just stack on top of each other.”
