Raised on hard rock and black metal, it is in goth music that Lando reveals themselves musically, influenced by artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Lorn and Boy Harsher, but also Portishead, Prayers, Lana Del Rey and many others.
grabyourface gained recognition in Europe for their intense and emotional live performances and for having shared the stage with bands like Covenant, Empathy Test and Wulfband. They also made a name for themselves internationally, for their collaborations with many artists from the alternative scene (Moris Blak, Caustic/daddybear, Covenant, Viva Non, etc.), and has recently joined the ranks of the American label Negative Gain Productions.
Through their intense and dramatic atmospheres, listening to grabyourface means following them along creepy backalleys and in the depths of sleazy nightclubs (2019’s Summer on Saturn), across stormy shores as they surrender to the force of the waves breaking on the rocks (2020’s Sea), or as they inspire a working class uprising in their latest single.
On the track’s release and the accompanying video, Lando states:
“‘Rob the Bank’ is a hymn for the working class, for the low-lives, for the rednecks and the gopniks, to start a revolution and take back control of their lives, that was taken away from them by capitalism, the big banks, the worship of profit and money.”
