Video Premiere: Grander – ‘?’

Grander

Hoboken, NJ-based Grander is a different sort of indie band—so much so that they actually consider themselves a “collective.”

What does this mean for the average listener? Well, for starters, the mindset of the 8 or so musicians involved in Grander makes for some of the most unique and eclectic “alternative” (for lack of a better term) that we’ve heard for a long time. Inspired by everyone from Bon Iver to Radiohead to Mac Miller to DIY emo, the group evokes the best moments of a Brooklyn house show while simultaneously flexing their prodigious musical ability.

New Noise is premiering the official lyric video for their ethereally funky new single “?,” which will appear on their upcoming If Found, Cherish EP.

The band has this to say about the new track:

“It comes off as a breakup track, but is more about how the anxiety of your own self and how it can eradicate your confidence. You think you’re longing for what you had in the past, but really ‘you should be honest with yourself’ and find what you need in you. Immediately, we knew this would be track one on the EP, and felt like a good way to introduce the listener to the sonic palette of the project. The ‘drop’ in the outro is one of our favorite parts on the EP and really set the tone for the rest of the tracks.”
