New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the new music video for “But It Do” by Spirit In The Room. The song has a vicious atmosphere with a darkly humorous video to capture that incredible essence. The synths chop through the soundscape with powerful gradience.  Take a listen to the song below, watch the video and read about Dennis Sander’s different influences below the video.

Video and concept by Dennis Sanders. Shot and edited by Shawn Doster in Malibu, CA.

Aldous Harding:
I think she is the greatest thing since sliced bread. You cannot take your eyes off of her when you see her. She’s has the ability to make you feel that she is with you when she’s performing and it’s almost as if she’s reading your mind. Very hypnotizing. It’s a trip. What a presence. Amazing voice. Incredible songwriter. Can’t say enough.

Portal:
I’ve been listening to Portal for 6 or 7 years now and I’m still hearing little things in the mix that I hadn’t heard previously. I love that! Definitely not for the surface listener.
Black, Atmospheric, Blistering, Cold, Foggy and Bleak. The scariest shit I’ve heard since listening to Plague Mass by Diamanda Galas as a teenager. Listen with caution, in the dark.

Henry Mancini:
This music makes me feel like I’m on drugs. I love it. I collect his records on Vinyl. The Versatile Henry Mancini and Our Man in Hollywood are some of my favorites. I really love his version of Bali Hai. The theme song for Peter Gunn was also the first song I learned how to play on the guitar when I was around 9 or 10 years old. I love using his music as an intro to our set as well. Beautiful work.

HTRK:
Her voice is so melodic and distant. I was really influenced by them while I was working on The Holy Phobia. I carried a Bluetooth speaker with me everywhere on tour and blasted Marry Me Tonight and Work Work Work on repeat. Definitely kept the vibes on ice. They just released a new record called Venus in Leo this year. It’s a great record. I highly suggest checking it out.

Ween:
I wish I was that good. Tremendous talent. One of the greatest bands on the planet. Don’t care who you are. If you don’t like Ween, you can go fuck your self.
