As a personal spin on the iconic Placebo song, Detroit, MI-electronic industrial artist Josie Pace is unveiling the new single and music video, “Pure Morning,” featuring Sammi Doll.
Josie is known for her lyric-driven tracks and unapologetic rock and roll attitude that carry their way into tracks that support the authenticity of her image and artistry. She just signed with Negative Gain and is currently working on a new album, coming early 2022.
Josie explains their reasoning for covering the track, “I have tried to cover so many other songs in the past and they never
really worked out. But when we started working on ‘Pure Morning’ by Placebo it felt like a great fit. I wanted to embody the lyrics and give the song a lot of female attitude. What better way to release a song about the celebration of female friendships, than to ask my amazing friend Sammi Doll sing on the track with me.”
Sammi Doll adds, “I had such a great experience recording ‘Perfect Replacement’ with Josie, when she asked me to collaborate with her again, it was a no brainer.”
