New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the music video for the atmospheric “It’s My Heart” by Kristal & Johnny Boy. The track’s lightweight step is gracefully swung through an ambient presence with a glowing guitar, accompanying rich vocal lines. Take a listen and view below!

The music video for “It’s my Heart” was recorded during an intense weekend in a snowy Djura, where the singer of Kristal and Jonny Boy: Kristina Hanses, has her roots. “We wanted to create the mood of a live performance in miniature, with a surreal and suggestive mood that fits the song and the band’s prominent and choreographed parts,” Hanses explains. The band’s masks and outfits have high recognition, so they were highlighted both in the performance on stage as well as in closeups. Hanses’ dance is also an integral part of the band’s performances, so it was given some extra space in the film.

“Inspired by the worlds of David Lynch we wanted to achieve that dream-pop-feeling which is the band’s signature.  At the same time, we wanted to show a short section of us, without makeup and all the preparations we make before our performances. So in the intro, before I start singing, there’s a glimpse of who we are behind the masks,” Hanses explains.

Kristina and Jonny’s daughter, Pim, participate in the first part of the film, as a sidekick to her parents.

In May 2018, the Swedish dream-pop duo Kristal & Johnny Boy will release their debut album It’s My Heart on the Italian label La Tempesta International. Recorded in Geneva together with the Italian producer Federico Dragogna (Ministri).

Kristal & Jonny Boy are Kristina Hanses (vocals, lyrics, dance) and Jonny Eriksson (guitar, drums), who present a wonderful scope of happy songs, singer-songwriter song to mystical-melancholic tracks paired with an exciting element of drama.
