Light Treasons have adapted their own version of one of the most recognizable indie songs ever, with the cover of “Soul Meets Body.” Their is a video attached to it as well. Light Treasons take the liberties of distorting the song with heavier presence of guitars and providing a plethora of energy into the melodies.

Louisville, Kentucky’s Light Treasons is a band with stories. “Most of us have played together forever,” says guitarist Zack Pennington, “so we all have dirt on each other.”
“But we tend to stay pretty tight-lipped about that stuff,” smiles drummer Joel Eichenberger.
Instead of selling each other out offstage, the band channels their narrative strengths into their sets of songs. Whether it’s through the tightly-wound intro-ed and outro-ed 2017 full-length Fortunes or the video treatment of their latest release, a cover of Death Cab For Cutie’s “Soul Meets Body,” Light Treasons doesn’t skimp on mood and vision
“We’ve all been doing this long enough to know what we want and to know it’s worth the time and energy to do it the right way,” says Pennington.
Pennington, Eichenberger, and guitarist Clay Nevels spent years on the road together in post-hardcore outfit Hark the Herald nearly a decade ago. Since then, they’ve each started careers and serious relationships, but have never lost the need to get together and make noise. Reuniting in 2015, the guys formed Light Treasons and recruited bassist Jared Howell and singer Rob Diver to round out their lineup. The quintet cites influences like Thrice, Anberlin, and Jimmy Eat World while sharing stages with Pierce the Veil, The Weekend Classic, and The Orphan The Poet.
