New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the video premiere for “Social Hell” by Lovebites. The song is a bright yet anthemic piece of art. With a grooving sense of rhythm, the band really dive into a highly textured love affair in this song. “Social Hell” is a great way to ease into the weekend, and will be off of an upcoming EP also bearing the same name.
‘We know every band says it, but we’re extremely proud of what we have created in ‘Social Hell’. It’s been a long few months holding everything back, but we’ve wanted to get this right as it’s our first release & once it’s out there, there’s no going back. This EP has capsulated where we are as a band & where we’re looking to go & we hope people dig it as much as we do. It’s 4 tracks of honest, British, punk rock & roll. The video was directed by our good friend Morgan Tedd.” – Lovebites
Lovebites was formed in March 2017. Based in Birmingham (Sabbath City), England. Marcus, Cris & Jack had finished playing in various bands and decided to try go at it again, together, as a gang. From this, the band was formed. In the late summer of 2017, they recruited friend David, to take on lead guitar duties & began writing for their debut EP, Social Hell. The band take influence and inspiration from bands of yesteryear like The Police, The Replacements, The Who & The Rolling Stones, but also from more recent artists like Jawbreaker & The Hold Steady. This in turn has led to a timeless sound that has the grit & integrity of 70’s punk rock but also the sonic dynamism of more expansive artists like the aforementioned The Who.
