LOVESBLIND, self-proclaimed “Iowa’s best-kept secret,” are releasing their new single and video, “heavily.”
The alt-rock five-piece draw inspiration from all over, from vocal-led bands like Slaves and Waterparks to modern, melodic acts like Oliver Francis and blackbear. They tie all of these inspirations together through their uncanny knack for creating hooks that can easily turn first-time listeners into lifelong fans.
The band open up about the new track: “The single ‘heavily’ focuses on the cycle of a relationship and the thought process on trying to get over someone, but struggling to do so. You want to not care anymore, but the fear of being alone is keeping you attached, The verses focus on the toxicity of the situation, knowing that it’s best to move on, whereas the choruses express the doubts and insecurities that are faced after being alone again.”
