Recently, a cohort of labels announced a four-way, split-seven-inch picture disc featuring American Thrills, Nightmares For A Week, Tired Radio, and Neckscars. The split is being co-released by Sell The Heart Records, Wiretap Records, Engineer Records, and Rat Terror Records and hits the streets on October 22.

For decades, New York, New York’s Neckscars have been cutting their teeth in the DIY punk rock scene making rustic, gravelly-voiced punk in the vein of Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, The Lawrence Arms, etc., and they do a lot of justice to that sound. This split follows hot on the heels of the band’s debut album, Don’t Panic, which was produced be John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Brand New, etc) and Sean Paul Pillsworth (Coheed & Cambria, Shai Hulud, etc), and released on June 18 via Sell The Heart Records in the U.S. and Engineer Records in the UK.

For the split, the band offers “The Condor Swoop,” and singer/guitarist Will Romeo says, “‘The Condor Swoop’ dives much deeper than a couple of birds partying.  I wanted to express my anger towards the people who will continue to take ignorance over humanity.”
