We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Olde Souls’ new music video for their song “Hope Is Where The Heart Is” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s three song self-titled EP, which is scheduled to be released in early December through Bearded Punk Records.
The band comments on the new single:
“‘Hope is where the heart is’ is a song off of Olde Souls’ first untitled EP that was released right before the summer of this year. The song is about finding hope through playing music or going to shows and the friendship that comes along with that.”
“Let’s fill our lungs with all the air this room has left. And we’ll sing louder.”
Olde Souls are four people that met by coincidence. A trusted old recipe with a fresh twist, brought about by the dynamic of a new friendship.
Their blend of Americana melodies and punk rock punch is both soothing and uplifting. The autobiographical lyrics deal with failure and regret, are often of a melancholic quality but always exhibit a thirst for being alive.
Olde Souls’ punk rock deliverance has a raw honesty to it and is firmly rooted in classic rock, comparable to such acts as The Replacements, The Hold Steady, Hot Water Music and The Gaslight Anthem.
