On The Cinder are stoked to unleash their new video for “Anarchy,” a song from their latest record, Lamplighter.

On The Cinder are a three-piece melodic hardcore punk band from Buffalo, NY.

“I’m not totally sure who sparked the original idea for the video, but I remember the movie They Live coming up a lot in comparison,” says Jason, the band’s guitar player. “The song itself is sort of tongue-in-cheek, taking some light-hearted jabs at punk rock, so we thought it might be fun to do something similar for the video. Granted, the characters in the video are not all portrayed as “punks,”  but it all sort of works around the idea that things can be very different depending on the lens that you’re looking through.  Viewers can rest assure that no delicate egos were harmed in the making of this video.”

  1. For a song called anarchy there’s very little anarchy happening.
