Disrupting the traditional sound of modern heavy metal, Parallax present distinctive incorporations of groove, hardcore, tech, death, alternative, and nu-metal. The group’s newest track, “Esoteric,” is the second single from their latest album, Awaken, available now through Fine Swine Records.

New Noise are proud to premiere the video for “Esoteric” below:

Since forming in 2015, Parallax—Nick Hale (vocals), Jason Catlett (guitar), Mike Reed (bass), and Clayton Gossett (drums)—have released three EPs, including 2016’s In The Path Of A Cannibalistic Galaxy and 2018’s Disease & Disposition.

In late 2019, the band signed with Fine Swine Records and completed their newest studio album, Awaken. The LP was self-produced, recorded, and mixed by guitarist Jason Catlett and Parallax at Magnitude Creative Recording Studio in Wichita, KS. Additionally, mastering duties were handled by Grammy-winning engineer, Alan Douches at West West Side Music.

Their hard work and dedication to their craft have led Parallax to share the stage with bands like Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Upon A Burning Body, The Black Dahlia Murder, Knocked Loose, The Acacia Strain, Phil Anselmo’s Superjoint Ritual, Slaughter to Prevail, Goatwhore, Cattle Decapitation, Within’ the Ruins, Oceano, Mushroomhead, Fit For a King, Volumes, Lorna Shore, and more.
