New Noise Magazine is pleased to bring forth the music video for “Hate is a Strong Word” by Your Persona. It’s a lyric video that goes through the winding and soaring song by the New Jersey quartet. With quick chord progressions the song weaves together an infectious piece of music before exploding in the bridge with harsher vocals and more groovy beatdowns.

The track follows the mind of a young man who’s dark past experiences bring fantasies of homicide from continuously being pushed too close to the edge.

Emotionally driven narratives mixed with frenzy inducing instrumentals, Your Persona guides listeners on a bleak journey through the minds of life’s grim realities. Oftentimes compared to veteran inspirations such as Thrice, From First To Last, and Thursday, the band released their debut EP “So Easy” in 2013; which led them performing steadily throughout the tri-state area. The Spring of 2015 saw the release of their sophomore EP, “Metastatic” right around the same time lead singer, Matt, struggled with recurrent cancer. After a lengthy and unsought hiatus, the band brazenly worked towards their comeback through the release of their EP When In Limbo. The last year has led Your Persona to extensive touring throughout the east coast and midwest and a headlining festival performance at NJ’s Electric Halloween.

The track was recorded and produced at The Lumberyard Recording Studio by Ace Enders (The Early November, The Wonder Years) and Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard, Handguns, The Wonder Years). Following the release of the single, Your Persona are set to release fresh content such as new music and accompanying music videos, episodes of their vlog “YPTV”, and consistent touring throughout the United States.
