Video Premiere: Pvrception – ‘A Little Less Social’

Pvrception

Producer and songwriter Pvrception is revealing the new music video for his song “A Little Less Social” off his EP It’s Been A Little Hard.

Pvrception, aka Poison Tongue Boy, creates his sound by mixing his favorite genres in a way that evolves with each of his projects—a fusion of emo, rock, pop, trap, and EDM. With influences rooted in 2000’s pop punk and modern-day pop and rap, Pvrception looks to invoke a multitude of feelings with his music, ranging from rage to love.

Pvrception’s deeply personal lyrics dig into his own fears, struggles and dreams, laying it all out for listeners atop the plentiful, bangin’ beats in his production.

Pvrception chats more about the new video for “A Little Less Social” and themes behind the song:

“Death is around us every day. When we experience it in our lives, we put up a front, walls to protect us from feeling grief on a daily basis, but when it strikes too close and too personal to us, there is no amount of protection that can shield us from reality. We isolate ourselves to protect us and others from the pain we feel, and we hold onto that pain because it’s all we have left of the departed, as we wonder, ‘Could we have done better?'”

He continues, “This song is a lesson in letting go, in not letting death weigh us down, or stop us from truly living and loving. We hoped to capture that in a whimsical way, in which you can laugh, but also feel necessary grief. ‘A Little Less Social” is a promise to break free from the loss that holds us back, to move forward and make things right as our loved ones would want us to.”
