At a time when the world has been isolated, music has once again become the muse for connecting with others. Where distance was previously a challenge and social media often a numbing force, they are now the very things spurring creativity. It’s from these depths that Riot For Romance has been inspired to create, record, and produce songs from three different states—Georgia, Colorado, and Florida.
Collectively, the members of Riot For Romance—Jason Hansen, Brett Miotti, and Kelly Nunnbring over 20 years of experience to the table; they’ve toured, logged studio time, produced internationally distributed releases, performed at music festivals, and have been played on radio. To this band, each member has a broad stroke of contributions: Hansen lends lead vocals, guitars, and keys, Miotti offers bass and ambient sounds galore, and Nunn plays drums and guitars while tweaking knobs and faders. As equal partners in songwriting, they clearly have their sights set on leaving an imprint on music.
Riot For Romance blend post-punk, shoegaze, and post/alt-rock vibes to produce their brand of rock ‘n’ roll, which can be heard in the first single from their forthcoming self-titled EP for partnering labels Friend Club Records and Steadfast Records. The EP hits the streets on February 11.
