SoCal’s Sad Girlz Club have a big week: not only are they releasing their new EP, I Think I’m Ready, but the band are also sharing their new song and music video, “Problems.”
The video features the animated bandmates (literally) in a colorful and chaotic collection of visuals over the upbeat track.
As they prepare to release the EP, singer and guitarist Shelby Murray chats more about the project:
“Overall, the EP is about embracing change,” Murray says. “The title track highlights finally feeling ready to step out of a situation that is no longer serving you and coming to terms with parting ways with a person that no longer values you. You hear that again in ‘Problems,’ an anthem about going face to face with the aftermath of a tumultuous relationship and embracing that it is all a part of the process. The EP closes with ‘Tossing and Turning,’ a sweet little ditty about finding new love, far away from home.”
She adds a forward-looking perspective as fans listen to the three-track project, “The EP gives both new and old listeners a better look at how our sound is evolving and a sneak peek into where we’re headed with our next full-length.”
