Video Premiere: Semiotics – “Sorry, Bruh”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Semiotics’ new music video for their song “Sorry, Bruh” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s For How EP, which is available now through Bandcamp.

Semiotics recently got back from their two week weekender tour with Mandancing and steve. The band compiled clips from the tour into the “Sorry, Bruh” music video.

“The song tells a story about realizing the person of Rapon’s affection is just as fucked up as he is and that they should leave their current partner for him. ‘Woah, you care / I can tell by the clouds in your stare. The same I wear all the time / matching with the weight on spines’ He’s aware he’s better than what this person has now, however he’s also aware of how he can be too honest, ‘I’m better than your boyfriend / I can be better than this. But I’m disheveled, too stoned and distastefully honest.’ He eventual croons at the end of the song, ‘I’m better than your boyfriend’ over and over again desperately trying to win over this potential suitor while female vocals are overlaid and clearly not interested. “

The band is playing a few of shows in their new home of Philadelphia, one in NJ and heading back to Barber Shop Studios to record with Brett Romnes (drummer and engineer of I Am The Avalanche) to record six more songs to follow up their previous six song release with Romnes, For How. The band plans to combine the two efforts to put out a compilation CD next fall.
