Video Premiere: The Shanks – “Incarceration Man”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Shanks’ new music video for their song “Incarceration Man” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s fifth full-length album Prisons of Ecstasy, out now through Here to Everywhere Records. You can purchase the album via iTunes or stream it via Spotify.

The band comments on the video:

“This video is about the time when we were thrown out of prison for being too loud. We had to break back in because we really felt it was absolutely necessary to play a final concert for the inmates (plus when the authorities threw us out, they kept our musical instruments so we had to go back and get them). The main reason this video even got made was because we really needed to show people from outside Canada what it would like to be in prison with our band, The Shanks.”

The Shanks have been making music for over 10 years now, giving them a solid stance in the Toronto scene. Their achievements include an Exclaim! 2014 Album of the Year nomination, showcase performances at both Canadian Music Week and JUNOfest, and tour support to popular rock outlet The Arkells.
