New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the music video for “Walls” by Stokeswood. The indie rock track boasts a smooth rhythm with a stellar atmosphere. Synthesizers are layered decadently behind the infectiously brilliant vocals, being embedded into a clever music video that helps distill the information age. The swelling guitars help create the easygoing tension for the song, establishing an relaxing tone. The track is being released via Rock Love Magic Records.
“[Walls] is about personal triumph in the face of endless challenge; walls show up in our lives every day,” says keyboardist Michael Roman, “…this song is about finding the will and conviction to put your head down, grab life by the throat, and never look back. When asked about how the track fits in with the rest of the new album, he said, “it’s a perfect example of what Waking Up is all about. We wrote and styled these songs about everyday truths and toils; moving forward while retaining our signature.”
The musician continues, “Animated by Atlanta artist Sean Patrick Cumiskey, the ‘Walls’ video is an in-house written and produced concept that presents a formalist take on the song, the band, and the lyrics in a format people see everyday. There’s a simplicity about the message in the lyrics to Walls, and as a band we wanted to make sure that didn’t get lost in the medium.”
