As continued support for last year’s Sensory Records release of their acclaimed LP, Mountain Fever, Israeli progressive metal outfit SUBTERRANEAN MASQUERADE are sharing a live video of the record’s title track, premiering right here at New Noise.
Mountain Fever was released in May 2021, boasting ten new tracks that continue to push the balance between pioneering experimentalist to their own take on modern pop culture and how it manifests in the Middle East.
SUBTERRANEAN MASQUERADE have also supported the album with live excursions through parts of the Middle East and beyond, as pandemic precautions safely allow. One of the highlights included a spot headlining the Israeli Metal Fest in October, with the show documented in its entirety. The band are now presenting a lively, multi-camera video of their performance of “Mountain Fever” from the concert.
Lead vocalist Davidavi Dolev states, “Hey world! We’re coming to get you! All of you! So what if we’re oceans apart? So what if the pandemic prevents us from touring? None of it matters; if we can’t come to you in the flesh, we shall come to you through the ether of the world-wide web! We are very excited to share with you a live version of the title song from our new album Mountain Fever. We’re working day and night to get to you; in the meantime, we wanted to share with you how our shows in Israel looks like. Come join us. We have humus.”
Founding guitarist Tomer Pink adds, “We’ve been busting our asses to bring you the closest experience of what our shows are all about. We miss our audience overseas so much—stay tuned; we have a feeling we shall meet again soon.”
Mountain Fever is available on CD and 2xLP cut at 45rpm here, the standard digital here, the Hi-Rez 24 Bit digital here, and through all digital streaming services. SUBTERRANEAN MASQUERADE are planning to announce more dates for shows abroad soon, but in the meantime, you can find them performing a number of dates through May:
