The Racing Pulse’s “Go Forward” is an anthem about soccer and success with some seriously catchy riffs.
The anthem was written for USL League One soccer club Forward Madison FC and originally released last year to coincide with their inaugural season. This is also the first single since The Racing Pulses released their debut album, Nothing to Write Home About, which peaked at #43 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and #15 on the Heatseekers chart.
In the video, Forward players do tricks and practice shooting on goal as frontman Kristian Iliev and drummer Mike Newby rock out inside Breese Stevens Field, the team’s home stadium. Plastic flamingos and even Wisconsin’s Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes make an appearance in the whimsical production.
The band also announced they will be joining artists across the United States in putting on concerts for the 46 for 46 campaign. Details for that show will be announced soon on the band’s socials.
“We are certain Wisconsin will play a decisive role in the 2020 presidential election, so now it is more vital than ever to use our platform and rally voters in the area who still believe in the power of our society,” the band says. “The future of the United States of America is threatened under the Trump administration. We refuse to live in silence as a small group of fortunate billionaires, politicians, and corporations greedily endanger millions of citizens.”
