Los Angeles rockers The World Over are dropping their final single before the release of their latest EP, Artificial, out August 6 through Blood Blast Distribution and The Syndicate.
New Noise are proud to premiere the video for “Taking Back Control” below:
Following on from previous pre-release singles like “Shallow” and “To Be Human,” the group’s latest cut calls to mind the aggressive melodies of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory, combining their knack for rock, pop and metal with killer tempo transitions, soulful choruses and spine-chilling screams.
The World Over’s multifaceted approach, unique sense of creativity, and outside the box thinking is fueled by their desire to break down the restrictive genre barriers of today’s music industry by promoting diversity in their music.
Established in 2014 at the L.A. Music Academy by frontwoman Tiaday Rocke and lead guitarist Ryan Knecht, bassist Juan Arguello and drummer Alejandro Mercado were soon inducted thereafter. The line-up was then rounded out with the addition of rhythm guitarist Christian Rivera in 2020.
On the release of “Taking Back Control” and their forthcoming EP, vocalist Tiaday Rocke states:
“The song lyrics are pretty straightforward and blatant to the point. But if someone tells me not to do something, chances are, I still need to find out for myself and learn the hard way.
Maybe it’s the punk rebel roots, but finding your own way through life and patching up your wounds yourself without the help of others (even with good intentions) is just the way most all of us in TWO worked until we found each other. We know how to let each other be and grow on our own but help when needed.”
