Coming in hot from their upcoming third album, Casual Drag, North Carolina’s Totally Slow have released a new music video for the track “Call The Pigs.”

Scott Hicks of Totally Slow commented on the track and its inspirations, “‘Call The Pigs’ is centered around realizing that a lot of my modes of civil disobedience/direct action over the course of my life have in themselves been examples of white privilege, and what that really means in the larger context of trying to be an ally for marginalized people in this country.”

Hicks says they approached the video concept with those ideas in mind. “The video was put together by John Rash, a documentary filmmaker living in the Deep South who gained some notoriety a few years ago with the Negro Terror film, which followed the eponymous punk group from Memphis.”

The track is one of 10 on the punk band’s upcoming LP, filled to the brim with personal strife alongside the ongoing, often tumultuous political conversations at the forefront of American culture today.
