Warp Lines’ new video for “Nothing is Working Out” taps into a vein of melodic post-hardcore that hasn’t been heard in a while.

“We’ve always been inspired in some way with the idea of failure as an inevitability” the band says. “So, why not make a video depicting failure as an awkward, menacing figure in a silly, $30 deer mask?”

Warp Lines are a punk band from Ottawa, Canada. Their debut album, Human Fresh, was released September 27, 2019 on Portland’s Dirt Cult Records.

Emerging from the discarded remains of Canadian bass/drum post-hardcore duo Big Dick, Warp Lines is the latest project from long-time collaborators Johnny O (guitar) and Dave Secretary (drums), with the trio being rounded out by Kurt Rafuse (formerly of The Yips) taking on bass duties. Other past and present projects have included Steve Adamyk Band, Million Dollar Marxists, Van Johnson, Uranium Comeback, and The New Calling.
Human Fresh combines the hallmarks of American, 80s post-hardcore and punk with melodic vocal sensibilities rooted in the Canadian alternative scene of the 90s.
