We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The World Over’s music video for their song “Mountains” (watch it below). The track is taken from their Mountains EP, which is available now through iTunes and other digital distributors, as well as physically through the band.
Tiaday comments on the music video:
“It was shot and edited by our good friend, Kay Enagonio, in one day/night. We shot the solo shots inside Donovan(bassist)’s house and a fog machine from Party City [laughs]. We set off so many fire alarms in his house we just had to take them all down and plug the door cracks with towels so the smoke wouldn’t escape. By the end of the indoor shots we felt we left with cancer (probably not the case). Then we drove to Salt & Sea to shoot the scenes of us on the rusting bench in the middle of the water and along the beach. Also probably left with cancer as there were fish carcasses/bones lining the entire shore. It smelt like earth’s cat litter box and it was pouring rain so the torch shots only lasted a few minutes. Cool fact, Donovan made that torch himself with things he found along the beach. It was an experience to remember for sure and it was worth the danger to get the amazing shots!”
“As for the lyrics, to what extent will you go to save your friends in their times of need? If it’s hurting your morals, sucking you of your life and precious time? I was trying my best to help out a close friend of mine during times when no one else was there for her. I thought I knew her really well but she turned out to be a crazy motherf*cker and in the end, I had to cut her out of my life. If people want to be saved, they will take your help and work on themselves, not bring you down with them. That is not a friend.”
