Zan get heavy and introspective with “Stuck Pig,” out March 27 on Behold the Key via Blackhouse Records.
“‘Stuck Pig’ is about the inability to heal from emotional wounds, to the point of it taking a physical toll,” said Ace Michel, vocals.
Behold the Key will see a limited-run, colored vinyl, CD, and cassette release via Blackhouse Records Ltd on March 27, 2020, with the digital format seeing a world-wide release on all streaming platforms via the street date.
The wasteland that is the Tri-Cities area in central Washington State (home of the infamous Hanford Nuclear Plant) is the home of Pacific Northwest veteran math metal outfit Zan. Notorious for complicated and well-thought-out song structures, Zan are an absolutely mind-blowing experience in heavy music that are un-matched by any band, period.
This, alongside being cited with lyrical content that is not typical of what you would normally hear in metal, Zan are challenging, mind-bending, and effective at making a point to not allow the listener to walk away comfortable.
