Hailing from La Chaux De Fonds, Switzerland, Coilguns have been proud flag holders of the 2.0 DIY scene since 2011. The band counts a total of four EP’s and three full-length albums. Their history is deeply bound to the development of guitarist Jona Nido’s own label, Hummus Records, who are set to release the band’s latest 12-inch single, Shunners/Burrows, on November 26.

Coilguns have always been recorded live and uncut, generally written, and recorded on the spot wherever they were at that moment. Their two last efforts were 100% self-produced, engineered and mixed by the band members.
Relentlessly touring Europe since the release of their second LP, 2018’s Millennials, the band are known for their raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances. The group released their third album, Watchwinders, in November 2019.
Like every touring band in the world, Coilguns had to cancel all plans for 2020 and 2021. Currently hard at work on their fourth LP, they extracted two songs that they produced themselves and will release them this fall as a limited screen-printed vinyl.
Shunners/Burrows is part of a new collection of 12-inch vinyl singles from Hummus Records. The “Hummus 12-inch Maxi Collection” is pressed on transparent or transparent colored vinyls only. The record is housed in a picture disc-style cover sleeve with a minimalist graphic design. Side A of the vinyl has music while side B has an original drawing from Noé Cauderay screen printed in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Out of Gas.
