Cincinnati-based pop punk quintet Mascots have shared a new music video and single called “Figure It Out.” The montage features an archive of retro footage that showcases American pop culture throughout the ’50s and ’60s.

The music video captures the rat race lyrics of “Figure It Out,” mixing vintage clips of picture-perfect lives with the tedious grind of working every day. Production of the track was handled by Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Homesafe) at Always Be Genius Recording Studio.

“The song is about how sometimes in life, you feel like you are stuck on a roller coaster of ups and downs,” says vocalist Chris Henderson. “One moment, you might feel like a failure and you’re not really getting anywhere but other times you feel like you have really figured out the puzzle of life.”
