West London group Chubby and The Gang, have dropped a banger of a track “The Bonnie Banks.” It’s a grungy, punk vibe you’ll be sure to dig. Reminiscent of the punk we enjoyed in the 80’s, it’s raw and it’s got grit. The group was formed in 2019 out of multiple UK hardcore bands, including Arms Race, Vile Spirit and Gutter Knife. Fast forward to now when founder Charlie brought in a “gang” of rotating instrumentalists performing on the albums Speed Kills (2020) and The Mutt’s Nuts (2021).
The track “The Bonnie Banks” is an ode to London and their loyalty to their home is conveyed through the soul of their music. Following the acclaimed 2021 full-length The Mutt’s Nuts, “The Bonnie Banks” is a look into the next chapter of Chubby and the Gang. The London band’s political ideologies are embedded into their prior albums and music. Their latest music feels more optimistic, but still going strong.
