History of Life is a hardcore punk band from Tasikmalaya, Indonesia.
They just put out a new single called “Will End” and it’s explosive as hell. First of all, the drumming on this track is extraordinary. That’s not to discount the other musicians who are all very talented, but there’s a bit of a running joke in punk that the drummer is the only member of a punk band that has to be really good, and this track absolutely demonstrates that. The lyrics are simple but powerful, especially the ending where the singer shouts “Whatever who they are/Who suffer are our brothers!” in a classic hardcore inspirational line. Those who enjoy checking out punk from outside the U.S. will definitely want to check out this track.
