The Doormen are a post-punk band from Ravenna, Italy.
They recently released a new single called “Glass Factory” which is now available on their Bandcamp page. It’s a simple, chord-based song (hence the post-punk categorization) that has that haunting quality that is particular to post-punk. The vocals are reminiscent of Arcade Fire, and the guitars stay pretty undistorted until they come from nowhere to provide some edge to the song. It’s really a gorgeous and deceptively complex tune that will stay with you long after it’s over.
