Doom metal band Cardinal Wyrm is a band that we like a lot at New Noise. Sure, one of their members also works for New Noise, but surprisingly, that doesn’t make us like them any less. If you want to check out their stuff, you can do that here.
Now Cardinal Wyrm vocalist Pranjal Tiwar has released a video for his side project S.C.R.A.M. titled ‘Oxidization Of Zirconium With Steam.’ You can check it out below:
S.C.R.A.M., which stands for Safety Control Rod Axe Man, has a new split with Gridfailure which you can find here.
Pranjal told The Sleeping Shaman about the split, saying:
“The S.C.R.A.M. project was created to provide a soundtrack to urban exploration in the modern ruins that surround us. When I created the first EP, Sellafield Mox, I imagined being in an abandoned building, walking around in the dark with a flashlight in your hand and S.C.R.A.M. in your headphones. I likened it to the audio equivalent of taking mushrooms, the right soundtrack can heighten the experience of exploration, making the spaces that seem empty step forward and come alive. I love walking around for an hour or two with headphones on, even if it’s just around where I live, it’s absolutely a sort of ritual for me. You’re taking in what’s around you but also shutting yourself off from the world and going inside yourself. I wanted to create music that would be perfect for that.”
