Psychedelia has been introduced and wrapped in The Conquerors‘ debut Wyld Time. The band hail from Kansas City and are releasing their record through High Dive Records. Wyld Time is available to be streamed ahead of its release date, August 26th. To support the record, the band has announced a string of tour dates. The songs across Wyld Time ly with hazy leads, ambitious vocal melodies and brilliant pop structures. It’s a fun, continuous listen.
Rory Cameron commented on Wyld Time, “Wyld Time has a lot to do with my divorce and how traumatized I felt afterward. A lot of these songs were written as a way to get to say the things I didn’t get a chance to while it was happening, mostly because I was trying to do anything I could to prevent it. To the point afterward I felt like I had let myself be walked on instead of getting to say the things I really thought about the situation. When it’s all said and done its given me a greater sense of closure and a feeling of being less beholden to my own hang ups and baggage about it.”
