We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Dainesly’s music video for their song “No One Cares (When You Don’t)” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming sophomore release.
About the band:
Lonesome Americana themes are too often relegated to pandering country tropes, tried and true song structures, and exaggerated southern accents. It’s rare to find themes beyond heartbreak and loss explored with any subtlety or nuance. “No One Cares (When You Don’t)” manages to simultaneously bemoan and celebrate apathy.
Filmed and recorded live at the Golden Jackal, a vintage clothing store in the band’s hometown of Reno, the song is self-engineered and produced with the footage coming from several different takes. The band’s debut album was also self-recorded and produced thanks to the engineering and mixing talents of drummer Aaron Chiazza and bassist Alexander Korostinsky. The philosophy of using good takes that require no editing, minimal overdubs, and capturing energetic and honest performances are what give the band a unique “warts and all” quality that is a breath of fresh air in a world of over-edited, generic, and artificially precise recordings.
