Back for a fourth year in a row, Disturbin’ The Peace, presented by Baltimore’s own Flatspot Records, featured a heavy, action-packed lineup. In freezing temperatures on January 31, fans orbited the Baltimore Soundstage with doors opening at 12:00 p.m.
Headlining band Hatebreed brought fans a mix of new and old songs, delivering a strong performance that had people running around the venue. Other iconic names in hardcore included Agnostic Front, Next Step Up, End It, Day by Day, Raw Brigade, Sinister Feeling, The Final Agony, Posicion Unida, Ousted, Hellrazor, and Vicious Order. The lineup consisted of a mix of national and local acts.
This festival has always done a remarkable job of showcasing a diverse lineup of hardcore bands, making for a diverse crowd draw. I personally was really entranced by the energy shifts each band brought to the table. The entirety of the day, Baltimore Soundtage simply roared with talent. Although New York is my home, I have to admit that the Baltimore hardcore scene is always ready to have a good time!
