Off the heels of the release of their self-titled album, The Maine are back and better than ever. We were lucky enough to catch them on the first stop of their Sweet Sixteen tour at the House of Blues in San Diego, Calif. celebrating 16 years as a band.

The night kicked off with “dose no. 2” from their newest record and transitioned straight into oldies from their debut album including “I Must Be Dreaming” and everything in between. The band touched songs from almost every album of their discography. Highlights of the night included frontman John O’Callaghan and guitarist Jared Monaco jumping into the crowd and performing an EDM-ified version of “Sticky” from the venue’s sound booth as well as hearing some songs the band had never performed live before.

As a long-time fan of The Maine, this show was nothing short of an absolute treat. From the moment I walked into the iconic House of Blues to see a giant disco ball and sparkly silver drapes covering the stage, I knew I was in for a great time.

Catch them on tour with Flor and Weathers.
