We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Hollowed Out’s new music video for their song “Love Letter” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s latest album Life Among the Lifeless, which is available now through Eulogy Recordings. You can purchase the album here.
The band commented on the video:
This is a really important video for us, and we feel like this is the right time to release it. The new EP (‘Life Among the Lifeless’) released earlier this year, and at the time, lyrically, we chose to include a lot of commentary on the social state of the world we live in now… Since then, there have been a string of catastrophic and tragic events that, in a lot of ways, have exposed many individuals’ true colors, and have dramatically underscored the feelings expressed on that album. This song, ‘Love Letter’, is probably the most lyrically and musically aggressive regarding this topic. The video includes some symbolism regarding the masks that society forces us to wear, or more likely, that we choose to wear willingly, rather than thinking for ourselves, and being our own people.
Hollowed Out blends elements of beatdown, hardcore, deathcore, and other types of heavy music and pairs that sound with socially conscious, angry lyrics. The result is aggressive and heavy.
