INTRCPTR, the pairing of guitarist Ben Carr (5IVE) and drummer Larry Herweg (Pelican), are set to release a limited-edition cassette via Brutal Panda Records on May 10. The cassette will package both of the duo’s EPs, I and II,  together for the first time.
Immediately well received upon release, the EPs are ear candy to fans of heavy, moody instrumental music and especially fans of the duo’s other projects. Longtime veterans of ungodly, catchy riffs within the framework of all things heavy, the duo does not disappoint in the slightest when it comes to one’s preconceptions of what becomes possible when collaborative inspiration between mutually respected friends persists and persists.
The group’s drummer, Larry, had this to say about the release: “I’m stoked that our first physical release will be both of our EP’s on one cassette! Growing up, cassettes were my original format of choice. I remember being about 12 or 13 and walking to the local Kmart to buy Megadeth’s Rust in Peace. That sat nicely next to Metallica’s first four and Anthrax’ Persistence of Time. Now, we get to work with an awesome label and be in good company with their sweet bands!”
