Spanning two continents, and with over 8 million streams on Spotify, post-hardcore duo Valiant Hearts incorporate a genre bending array of influences for new single “Banshee” ft. Yosh.
Comprised of Australia’s Tom Byrne (Galleons) and Russia’s Igor Serokvasha, Valiant Hearts have engrossed their buoyant, international fan base with an atmospheric and riveting blend of modern rock and progressive hardcore.
Enormous melodies, blistering breakdowns and huge choruses define the band’s sound. 2018’s debut album, ‘Wanderlust’ released on We Are Triumphant was followed by breakout independent release ‘Odyssey’ the following year.
Signing to newly formed distribution service, Kontrolla Music Group, the duo dropped “Elevated Being” in September, a track that picked up over 100K streams on Spotify in just three weeks.
Speaking on the new single, Tom Byrne noted: “Banshee is a song about someone disappearing out of your life for good after only knowing them for a short period of time, even though you’ve already grown attached to them. On a personal level this was about knowing someone who was struggling with mental health issues and the feeling of being a bystander to that. Not knowing what to do or say, or even if you’re able to help at all, while also worrying that this person might become more than just a figurative ghost in your life at any moment.”
