Last week, the newly launched musical project of Sam King from Get Dead, rapper Ceschi Ramos and Michael “Fat Mike” Burkett of NOFX, Codefendants, dropped a new video for their song “Suckers,” a pregame to their tour which kicked off in San Francisco on April 14. The song for which the video was made, is off of their debut album “This Is Crime Wave.”
The video, written, produced and featuring Burkette, includes live footage of the band spliced with skateboarding clips by means of transitions bursting with color. Burkett also created the other videos in the series that accompany the album in addition to producing the album itself.
While steering clear of a storyline or plot, the video serves as a glimpse into what fans can expect from live performances and provides a look into the personality of the group. The song itself touches on the life experiences of Ceschi, and the advice that he says he wishes he’d been given as a kid.
Codefendants are currently on tour, with dates available on their website. Their album “This Is Crime Wave” is out now.
