Ahead of the release of their new album What’s Left Now?, out April 24 through Epitaph Records, So-Cal hardcore punk group Death Lens share their new single “Debt Collector.” Serving as the album’s closing track, vocalist Bryan Torres says the song speaks on, “The enslavement of society and just having to pay, pay, pay. And there’s really no way out.” The single arrives alongside a music video, directed by Torres.
Speaking further on the single, he adds, “‘Debt Collector’ came from that constant pressure of feeling like you’re already behind before the day even starts. It’s fast and chaotic on purpose, like your thoughts when you’re trying to stay afloat in a system that’s designed to drain you. I wanted it to feel like panic, but also like fighting back, like you’re sprinting even when you know something’s always chasing you. It was also the first music video I wrote and directed myself, which made it feel even more personal, like I could fully translate that anxiety visually, not just sonically.”
“Debt Collector” is just the latest sneak peak of the band’s upcoming album What’s Left Now?, the band’s first since 2024’s Cold World. Arriving after a tumultuous last few years for Death Lens, What’s Left Now? shows the band stronger than ever before as they explore themes of resilience and strife.
The group is currently on tour across North America with Drug Church and White Reaper. This summer, Death Lens will play multiple European festivals, including Mighty Sounds Festival and Outbreak Festival.
