News: Demob Happy Release New Single off of The Cure Tribute Album

English alternative rock group Demob Happy releases a cover of The Cure’s “Pictures Of You” as an addition to the collaboration for “Just Like Heaven – A Tribute To The Cure” out April 21.

Demob Happy released their debut album “Dream Soda” in 2015 before taking a hiatus until 2019 when they released their single “Autoportrait.” Now, the group is teaming up with bands, Velvet Condom and Soviet Soviet for the collaborative project, “Just Like Heaven – A Tribute To The Cure.”

As the name suggests, the album pays homage to one of the greatest darkwave and synth bands, The Cure, that inspired the three bands working on the covers compilation. The tribute album serves to bring back the feel of the original “Pictures of You” with a modern flair to showcase the transformation of the genre that The Cure heavily influenced. Velvet Condon, Soviet Soviet and Demob Happy draw on shoegaze, darkwave and alternative sounds for a reimagining of The Cure’s original album that will resonate with a variety of fans of all different age group and musical tastes.

The track list includes:

  1. In Between Days – Soviet Soviet
  2. Fascination Street – Buzz Kull
  3. Boys Don’t Cry – Pink Turns Blue
  4. The Lovecats – Priest
  5. Pictures Of You – Demob Happy
  6. Lullaby – The KVB
  7. Close To Me – This Cold Night
  8. Lovesong – Minuit Machine
  9. Just Like Heaven – Velvet Condom
  10. Friday I’m In Love – Crying Vessel
  11. A Forest – Ritual Howls

Demob Happy’s single covering “Pictures of You” is out now. The tribute album is available to pre-save.
