Platinum selling pop-punk group Fall Out Boy have shared their most recent single, a revamped cover of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” For the track, the lyrics have been updated to cover newsworthy topics from 1989 to 2023. The song includes talk of the L.A. Riots, Kurt Cobain, Woodstock 99, the Fukushiman Nuclear Accident, climate change, and Twilight among other political, social, and popular culture events.
The band are currently on their So Much For (Tour) Dust tour, in support of their most recent album release So Much (For) Stardust released earlier this year. The tour kicked off with a sold out hometown show in Chicago at Wrigley Field and continues with stops in Phoenix, San Diego, LA and more. All dates and details can be found on the band’s website.
